I have recently purchased a 2013 Genesis sedan with XM radio. The previous owner has his XM stations set up in presets.
I have tried everything I can find to "delete" his stations but to no avail. Does anyone have clue how to delete his stations so I can put my own in presets.

You have to overwrite them, or you can default the nav/radio which may change settings you didn't think to take notice of, and then you'll have to reset those too.

I just figured out which ones I liked (10 of them) and put them in prefrence sequence 1, 2, 3,.....,9,10, 1,2,3.....,10 That way you can scroll and it just starts back at the top of your preferred sequence.

Ignore Chad’s post. His works differently.

No rocket science. You merely replace the existing stations with new ones. You DO NOT clear the decks first. Start with AM to get the hang of it. Tuning from the left end of the AM band, choose your favorite 6 stations. Just find each station, press and hold for a moment to save each station.

In my area, AM is scarce, so my six AM presets look like this:

990-1140-990-1140-990-1140

See, no blank buttons!

navigate through the menus. You should be able to reset the unit to its factory settings, which will delete any stored stations on any band.

It will lose all saved settings (stations, tone, fade, balance, paired phones, etc.) and make it just like it was brand new and you were the very first owner. It will take a little time and effort, but everything will be specific to how you like it, not how someone else liked it.

You don't need to reset. Just use the tuner knob to find a station you like. Then press and hold a number until it beeps, takes a couple seconds. Now that station is set to that preset.

No you don’t quite get it. There is no removing. Just write over them with your own favorite.
If the previous owner has more presets than you, just duplicate your.

That’s because your system has no reset button. As we’ve been saying, you merely need to overwrite the prior owner’s settings in the manner I described in an earlier post (#4). THAT’S HOW IT WORKS.

In my ‘12 Genesis there are 6 buttons for AM, 12 for FM and 18 for XM. You CANNOT eliminate a button if it is not in use. You have to fill it with something. That’s as simple as I can explain it.

Ok, so I “tuned to channel 5.. then went to presets and channel 24 there... pressed and held down but all it did was tune to channel 24. Didn’t replace with 5.

Presets show on the left, the tuned station on the right. Have channel 24 on the screen and tune the right side to 5, then push and hold. When you moved the stations you messed up the sync. Once you do it the right way it is easy. I've done it on four car probably 100 times by now.
