  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm posting some photos, hoping they will be useful to those of us who are shopping and curious about what certain colors may look like. These photos were all taken in bright, direct sunlight on the first warm day of the new year here. What better use than to go and find which one might want to follow me home?

Santiago Silver looks amazing

... But I may be biased

That was my choice initially, however after seeing Adriatic in person, it has way more life than I imagined. Planning to drive by again at night to see how dark it gets. I’m thinking it may have the same split personality that Siberian Ice does.

Thanks for the pics, md. Although I wish you had taken more of the Adriatic at different angles. I haven't seen this color in person yet so I'm having a hard time picturing the color. I've even went to delear lots looking at Elantras and other Hyundai models that may give me an idea of how dark that blue is but hard to tell because they use different names.

I'm an older fellow and prefer a more conservative color and dark blue is ideal. I'll leave the brights to the younger folks, LOL. My favorite blue is something like that midnight blue BMW has.

Hope you're able to get some more pics.

This may help. The first were taken in Florida sunshine, the second in the fall in New England. The third in mid summer In New England after a drunk hit me.

I attached some Adriatic Blue pictures I took as well. In the shadow, it's like a deep dark blue, almost black, and in the sunlight it looks like my pictures. It's a very metallic paint. However, if the car is dirty, I could think it'd look like a dull blue.

Thanks for the pics. That helps in my decision between Adriatic blue and Himalayan gray. On the one hand blue adds a little color. On the other, gray is a more classy color and goes well with the chrome trims. Decisions, decisions...first world problems LOL!

Here are some additional photos of the Adriatic Blue. I find to to be a very, very classy color. If you're wondering about how blue it is in the sunlight, I'd describe it as being considerably darker than Acura's Fathom Blue Pearl. Adriatic despite being darker has in my opinion considerably more life and is a more unique color. In the third, you can see how when shaded, it goes much darker, almost appearing black. The last picture shows it covered in pine tree pollen, and it's still definitely blue in color.

@dynot, I don't believe it's as dark blue as BMW's midnight blue or certainly not their Carbon Black, but I'd think it's definitely conservative enough if those are your preferences.

Like @Slip_Angle said, that Santiago Silver is HOT! Haha. But I'm a bit biased as well. 😉

Good pics!

It’s clearly the best color. For those that want something different.

:)
That's how I've lived my life so far when it comes to car colors. I try to find the rarest/most unique exterior color for that vehicle.

Then you're looking for Spaghetti Brown from Canada :roflmao: (or a Design edition for that gorgeous green)

Yeeeeah I dunno if I'm down to get a speedometer default to KM/H!
Just set your gauge cluster display to show your speed in MPH

Another problem solved, gang!
