  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I seem to have a small moth infestation in my car - seeing about 2 to 3 a day. I’ve tried everything I can think of to get rid of them but they are back again this spring. So before I take out the seats to see if I can find the source I thought I’d ask if any had any ideas

Many places they can hide and lay eggs. Water and vinegar is supposed to help if you wash the right places. You may want to consider putting some cedar planks in a couple of places to see if that helps.

Thanks I’ll give that a shot

Just saw this. Did you solve your moth problem?

Moths eat and lay eggs in natural materials like cotton and wool. Is there something in your trunk they could be eating and laying eggs in?

Regardless, you can set off a chemical bomb in your car that will kill all the moths dead. It might mean not driving your car for a few days. The container store sells this:

No-Moth Closet Hanger
