  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

There is indeed a post on this forum from a member that experienced the exploding sunroof.

Edit: It took me a minute, but here's the link...

Yup. It covers more than just Genesis. I'm curious how folks here judge the offer. Do you sign up and get the extended warranty and a $200 limit if there is an incident or opt out and go for the big bucks if you have an accident or some such.

I haven't received it yet.

From what I'm reading, all owners of a 2015-2016 Genesis will have their sunroof warranties extended to 10/100k.
Those who have already experienced the sunroof shatter can claim repair reimbursements as well as $200 if they first hand experienced the roof shattering on them.
Additionally, those who traded in their car because of this whole ordeal can have a $600-1000 rebate.
Those of us who have had no issues with the roof, appear to have no cash settlement, just the extended warranty.

I own a 2012 veloster ,with a panoramic roof, is there anything I need to do

I've never got a mail from Hyundai - for anything . (:cautious: they dont even wish me on my birthday or on congratulate me for buying one of their costliest sedan)

Do they send mail to second owners for extending sunroof warranty ? I have a 2015 CPO Hyundai Genesis 3.8 - and i'm the second owner.

I checked the Message Center in myHyundai aswell , and there is nothing there .

Doubt it will be in the message center. Mine came in the mail today. Relax, there are a lot of them to be mailed out and it takes time to get to some points. I got two of them if that makes you a little jealous.

Well... to hell with trying to use the multi-quote system; apparently, I'm too stupid to figure it out. I'll simplify to say that I too received the notice via mail today. Two separate notifications, no less, as the second owner of a 2016 that I've only had since 4-6-2019 (3 weeks).

Agreed.... this is how I read it. Although I don't see where you're getting the rebate amount, specifically.
