  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Could someone tell me if Casablanca White is a pearl or just a plain white?

Thanks

It's a Pearl, just bought my 2015 two months ago.

Pearl, and when you see it next to a regular white car it's easy to see the difference (assuming it's clean). Very pretty in person.

I just starting looking for a Genesis and the 2016 is in my "the wife won't kill me" budget. White has never been one of my favorites but I do like the pearl whites. Thank you for the info now I just need to find a white one to see in person..

Very popular color here in FL. IMO, it is a nice looking car in white. Last week I saw three of them within an hour.
Years ago I bought cars because they ran good and the price was right. After 4 in a row white, my wife won't let me get one now.

I'm in NJ but the car will sit outside at home and at work so I would prefer a light color with a light color interior. Summer here in NJ is really weird 60 one day and 105 the next with 100% humidity.

My wife had a Manhattan Brown 5.0. Around here that's like finding a unicorn in a unitard. Once someone hit her and totaled it, she got a white one. While we both loved the brown the best, the white is a strong second. What really sets it off is the black roof against the white car (assuming it has a sunroof).

To me, white is a great color. The only reason I don't have one now is that my first several cars were white, and of course (like black), there are a lot of white cars on the road. Aside from being an attractive color, they also don't show road debris as much as darker colors, and they are also "heat repellent". Yeah, that last one may be an exaggeration, but you know what I mean.

I know exactly what you mean, David. Having just come out of a black Audi down here in Florida, the white is a godsend. IMO, it's the best color for hotter climates with a very clean look and doesn't show it's dirt nearly as much as darker vehicles in my past. I'm also a fan that the Casablanca White is a brighter pearl with none of that Mother of Pearl/Ivory hue that so many Mfr's utilize in their white cars. It simply 'pops'! (y)

I have a 2015 Casablanca White model, its an HTRAC without the sunroof. Is it the clear that has all the other colors in it or the base?

The 1st DH that I drove was a Manhattan Brown 5.0 Ultimate w/ tan interior... Pretty sharp. Driving a 5.0 Ultimate for my first experience ruined me for all the other trim levels and engines!

I found a white on tan one but the wife hates white cars for some reason - My Empire State Grey is a nice color too though.
