  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2013 Genesis coupe. My driver side tail light stopped working a few months ago. I went to replace the bulb, but unfortunately discovered that I'd have to replace the entire brake light assembly since there isn't a replaceable bulb. The turn signal and reverse light work. I really don't want to spend the money on a new brake light assembly. I've seen some forums talking about the brake light switch and diod Z01. Does anyone have any suggestions??

The brake light switch and diode doesn't have anything to do with that 1 taillight not working. Get on ebay. Should be able to pick a used one up there for a halfway reasonable price.

Damn I was worried I’d get that answer. I’ve been looking for tail lights and on eBay and they’re still pretty pricey. Thanks for the reply!

Sorry this makes no sense to have to replace the entire assembly for one bulb ... keep looking around- hell even call a dealer.
Here on you tube is the diode you mentioned:

Does this look like your taillight?

The reason I'm so interested in this subject- I plan on getting a GV80 and want to replace the rear turn signals from the USA red to the European amber and I refuse to think it's not possible.
