  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What has been your experience? I'm about to spring for a new G70 3.3t Sport.

I already have the Circle A plan certificate for it (thanks, @r_spec!).

a) Can I get the Loyalty bonus, if I don't currently have a Genesis? I have in the past purchased two Hyundais and two Genesises from the same dealer.
b) Can I get the Conquest discount, if I'm not trading in my Jaguar?

Are these available at the dealer's discretion, or might I have recourse if the dealer balks?

Thanks for any advice, or any similar tips!

I'm guessing No on the Loyalty, but if Jag is on the list of brands they offer Conquest for, then you should be able to. No trade required. I'm negotiating now and the dealer gave me all available incentives on a 2.0 (4k lease cash, 1k conquest) on top of the Circle A plan [shout out to @r_spec!].

Along these lines, anyone have success negotiating below the Circle A price? I was hoping to get to 10% off before lease incentives, which works out to another ~$900 on top of Circle A. The dealer is acting like I'm asking for the car for free.

I've seen a post from someone on this forum that got a discount on top of the Circle A + incentives. I'm assuming it will be quite difficult to replicate that success, but worth a shot. The dealer will always pretend they are losing money. As a matter of fact, I sat down with the GM and his sales system showed a net loss (and the true price of his add-ons - WOW those margins), but Hyundai reimburses the dealers who accept the Circle certificates and the dealership also gains points/credits that help them in other regards.

Best of luck on your negotiations!

Most dealers seem to honor all incentives with Circle A pricing but it does seem to be up to the dealer. Some have offered all incentives, some just Conquest and Loyalty but not financial (base MF or low APR) and some none. Your only recourse would be to go to another dealer if they don't.

Your Hyundai will not qualify for loyalty but your Jag will, just need to show the registration.

They should accept Hyundai's. Wouldn't they want you to upgrade from a Hyundai to a Genesis? Has anyone tried?

They offer the loyalty incentive for Hyundai Genesis models but not any other models which makes sense.

Still digging into this. And buried deep in a corporate website I found:

"Value Owner Coupon 6/4/2019 ~ 7/8/2019
If you are currently a registered owner of a vehicle distributed by Genesis Motor America, you can receive an additional $1000 off a new 2019 Genesis G70. Offer cannot be combined with Competitive Owner (CO) incentive.

Competitive Owner Coupon 6/4/2019 ~ 7/8/2019
If you are currently a registered owner of a (sic) eligible competitive vehicle, you may qualify to receive an additional $1000 off a new 2019 Genesis G70. Offer cannot be combined with Valued Owner (VO) Incentive. Please see dealer for eligibility."

So my history of Hyundai and Genesis won't help; have to be a current owner. And I could not combine it with a Competitive ("Capture") Coupon any way.

I should still be good for the Competitive $1,000, and another $500 for being military. Together with the Circle A certificate and 1.9% financing, I may be a Happy Boy (read, Old Phart) in a new MB 3.3 Sport pkg later this month. If it's still on the lot.

That great news! By the way, if the MB 3.3T Sport pkg is not on the lot by the end of the month, your dealer can probably search for one within a certain mile radius

Circle A Certificates are VIN specific, for that car on that dealer's lot. Not sure how that would affect a car transferred from one dealer to another. I might have to apply for another certificate. But I'm not likely to have that problem; my local dealer, who has the car I want, is one of those who are more concerned about his Hyundai business. This isn't exactly Genesis territory. We'll see in another week.
