  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I got an email with a link to a preview of the 2020 Sonata. In terms of technology, they are catching up to the goodies in the Genesis. I wonder what Genesis will have to stay ahead.

Damn that’s a really nice-looking car and all the tech you could ask for. Those Hyundai engineers know how to stay ahead of the loop.

I had three Sonatas. One reason I bought a Genesis was for all the tech goodies. Since I retired my driving is cut by over 60%. I'd have to really stop and think about it if I was buying when that is available at much lower price.

I can say for certain, it would not be Glowing Yellow. I sometimes wonder how a color like that gets approved.

I also had a 2015 black Sonata turbo sport and it was a good car. It was my car and my 2015 Genesis was my wife's. I've had three Genesis and two Hyundai's now.

Now all they need is some POWER!

Now if they have it AWD, it would put a dent into Subaru sales in Canada.
I used to love Subaru but their cars in the past few years have been extremely boring!

I'm not sure on the rear look... Everything else looks pretty good.

Hyundai is thinking about it, but apparently the new Optima will get available AWD.

The new 2.5T should do the trick (for the N-line variant).

Nice, but they could've made that front grill bigger....:ROFLMAO:

I've been waiting forever for the N anything, was thinking about a hot hatch like the Elantra N version, but that has never happened here in the USA, we get the GT, now after all those years, but it's only with the 1.6T, plus if you want real performance you need the 3.3T, hence my forum name.

I hear ya, but you won't need a 3.3T (or for that matter, the upcoming 3.5T) for something smaller/lighter.

That bespoke N halo model should do the trick.

If it's midship (as rumored) - then we're talking 300+ HP (w/ AWD) from a new 2.3T.

Here's Charlie's 2nd review of the Sonata showing more of the tech goodies.

Man, Charlie really is hustling around the bends even w/ the KDM spec Sonata he's driving being down in power.

I really don’t like the look of the 2020. But the tech is cool.

I was going to get a 2.0t 2019 limited. But I could not get past the engine issue so I just bought a 2016 used gen.

So far I think I made the right choice,

To bad it is wrong wheel drive.

While not a fan of FWD, in 2021 when my Genesis lease is up, this might prove to be my next daily driver.

I really want the new C8 Corvette, but not until it’s second or third year of production, so I will need a cheap daily driver and I want something with the semi-auto drive tech for my commute.

I’ve had a 2019 Sonata twice for loaners when the G80 was in for service and I was impressed with how comfortable it was, both had equal tech to the Genesis, but were very under powered in comparison, and the oversteer is horrible. But if I want the Vette, I will have to downgrade my daily driver.

Yeah, I'd have to figure out how to get in and out of it though. Is there going to be an Arthritis Edition?

Top comes off so all thats needed is someone operating a cherry-picker to lower you into the driver seat. Problem solved!
of course, getting OUT presents a whole 'nuther challenge...

Won't have to get out much. I'll get all my meals at the drive thru and use the empty containers for those "needs" and toss them out the window.
