  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just saw the 2010

Thanks for the info about the keyholder slot.

Armed with that info, I traded in my 2001 corvette for the 2010 genesis yesterday. There was another man in there, really giving the sales crew a hard time and part of me felt like we should try harder to do so, but part of me just wanted to get out of there.

They showed an invoice of 41000 (including around 300 for advertising and 800 for transportation) and we paid 1k over that. They argued that it was a new car and that if I really wanted a deal, I should get a 2009. If we wanted to walk and come back and go through all that, we feel like we could have saved some money, but what is 2-3 hours of our time worth?

The ride - it's strange cause I'm comparing it to a corvette - but seems "bouncy" instead of "harsh". Where I was fine with harsh. But I'm a family man now and we need to be able to fit more than 2 people in the car. At least until my son can drive. Then I'm hoping to get another vette.

You guys have been really helpful in the research process of the car - and hope to contribute more over the next few years.

My wife really digs the blue LED door sills. Very "Fast and the Furious"-esque.

Thanks to all for the early info. I agree with some previous posters about the lower grille...looks kind of cheap to me. I realize the limitations due to the radar unit (especially no metallic plating in front of the sensor, etc), but felt like they could have done a bit more elegant job of styling it...the taper does carry the line through from above, but it's a bit ham-fisted, to my eyes.

Sounds like they nailed the ride, or at least improved it to the point where folks aren't actively b**ching about it.

In my area (Boca Raton, FL), the dealers have '09s backed up on the lots. Just based on drive-bys, my local dealer must not have sold one of these in months (the very car I drove in July is still sitting there), along with many others. Likely, people became informed about the '09, thanks to thoughtful commentary by the folks on this forum, and held off...I am one of them. I'll be plunking down some cash on a 2010 before the end of the year, when the newness wears off and the prices drop a bit.

I think the floodgates will open when the '09s are gone, and they'll sell a bunch of cars to those of us who were waiting for improvements, plus they'll stop losing those fairly-selective customers who did cross-shop, but were put off by the ride.

Going to be an interesting few months...

Re: Test draw the 4.6 2010 today

Hey Joe thanks for the PICS, makes me glad I have a 09, "Hate the lower grill: change.

After reading about the package changes, and now seeing the pics, I'm glad I went with a packaged 09. I'm not a fan of the lower grill.
