  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

After never seeing another SI on the road, I look outside our office and there's another one parked right beside me. At least whoever it is has good taste. And mine's nicer ...

ha ha. a few observations of the park jobs, since nobody asked:

- the guy on the right is crowding the curb, just like i do when i finally find an end spot. although he looks to be at a cockeyed angle. might just be the way it looks though.
- the guy on the left is crowding the line which is OK as long as the guy on the right doesn't move. crowing the curb next to the highlander would've been a safer bet if the spot was free when he got there.
- i too have grown to appreciate the auto-fold mirrors. cool convenience feature which reduces damage from other careless drivers/passengers.
- that's a decent mix of cars. must be a somewhat respectable workplace. i recall a hilarious car-show like spectacle when my previous company sold. the principal owners got their initial buy-outs and got into a ~3 year long battle (before final pay-outs) to outdo each other. porsches, Maseratis, M3's, AMG's, aston martins, bentleys, and on and on. not subtle, nor appreciated by the staff who made a bid to purchase the company to keep it private/employee owned...

I'm the guy on the right. The space isn't square and I'm parked parallel to the curb so it looks like the car's on an angle. Being an early morning person I generally get the same space - the regular spaces are generously sized but people still crowd the line. The space beside the Highlander is actually smaller than the one I'm in.

Because it's his
I understand the bias, but was wondering if there was something more substantial in the differences between the two models that made one 'nicer.'

Aside from mine being tinted and the other one appearing not to be, they are identical. But Soma is correct, mine is nicer because it's mine. :)

Are you me? I do this every morning. Except my buddy also got a new car (an MX-5) just last month and he parks next to me and keeps my baby away from the plebs.

I think it is the angle that he mentioned. He seems to be lined up with the other G70...so more of an illusion I think.

Still funny though. He was too busy listening to the sound of his rims grinding on the curb ;)

Also...I know you cannot use Round-Up up there anymore...but c'mon...those weeds are nasty. Hire a teenager to trim that shit up.

Dude you're 3+ feet ahead of the back line. Do you not use your 360 camera when you park?

Leaves room for someone screwing up and pulling to far forward while parking in the spot behind you.

Thanks for the helpful parking tip. Given the weird shape of the stall and the fact that I'm parallel to the curb the right rear is closer to the back of the stall than it appears. I appreciate your concern and will try to do better tomorrow.

Lol I can't park without cameras anymore. I also can't maintain driving in the center of the lane anymore either. I am a prime candidate for full autonomous driving!

The other guy is just saying "Hi" & I like your car.

Those look nice compared to the boringness going on in that parking lot. Looks like a sea of same old compact cars and SUVs. Lol

My work parking lot has a couple Hellcats, a 392 Charger, a twin turbo Panamera, an S4, and a couple other nice rides.

Sounds like a doctor’s office! Lol.
