  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 Lease Comparisons and Discussion (USA)

I think I'll reach out to the Circle help as that dealer said it was the "special lease rate" (they showed it on their internal system) and that terminology lines up with what the non-A plan folks are given for money factor. Usually they'll provide confirmation and offer to contact the dealer and let them know.

We have had a few members here that were given the special lease rates when doing Cirl pricing. If I remembered correctly a few budged on that but one dealer said take it or leave it that they won't give base MF with a Circle deal. That is their call from the information we have but thankfully it seems to be very rare.

I just turned in my Q50 with 3-months remaining expecting to pay those 3-months of payments along with the $395 disposition fee. Received my final liability statement this week and all that was listed was the equivalent of one payment.

Not sure what happened on their end but was really surprised.

My wife bought an Infiniti recently so I thought maybe that helped us in some way...

That is why - they will waive final 3 payments if you lease or buy another Infiniti. That is what I was told. Did you make the jump from Q50 to G70?

I assume that was the case if I were to buy another upon turning this in, but this was my wife and it was in November of last year. My name isn’t on her lease. Technically they waived two payments and the disposition fee.

I did make the switch and am loving every bit of it. Was a big Q50 fan, but with no change in technology had to look elsewhere.

Nice - that is where I'm at also. The G70 seems to be a huge step up from a tech standpoint and the build quality in the interior is much better. My Q50 feels a little faster but beyond that, the G70 seems better in every way...

The only thing I miss is the Q50’s version of the forward collision where it essentially brakes for you all the time. In the G70 it will do that on cruise control, but without cruise it will indeed only brake for emergencies.

I guess I don’t get it. Why would you want it to brake if it’s not an emergency?

It’s just nice if you’re rolling up to a stop light or whatever to not have to brake yourself, it’s automated.

Kind of the point of automation, just makes life easier.

Here I thought most people who bought sport sedans liked doing the driving themselves. 🤷‍♂️

I'll be negotiating a lease deal on a 3.3T Sport RWD in the next couple of days. If they won't give base rate on MF using Circle A, which I'll certainly ask for, what would be a good/acceptable MF?

Not sure if they will provide them to you or not. Many times the finance arms of manufacturers will consider those discussions to be part of the sales process and not get involved. All dealers know what the base rates are since they receive notification of all rates/amounts/incentives each month. They are just screwing around with @FornicatorSteve .
Yeah, they were definitely trying to pull one over him. I'm just wondering what would be the best way to have dealers commit to the base rate MF. Would it be to just show evidence the base rate exists, like through Edmund's or something? Even then, I can't imagine they'd budge. Hopefully this could help Steve as well.

You can ask for anything you want and they can tell you anything they want but since the MF never appears anywhere in the lease how are you going to know what you are really getting. I strongly suggest you get familiar with one of the many lease program so you can actually calculate your payment based on what you think you are being offered.

When the sales manager came to the salesman station at my dealership He had the print out with all the numbers (not the MF) and I asked him to write the MF on the paper with all the numbers and sign it.

If I have everything but the MF, I should be able to back I to it. Also, I can ask what it is and see what they say. The math will bear out whether or not they are telling the truth.

I agree

Definitely so, they had told me they ran numbers with a manager and could do $515/mo as their best, which was decent for a 3.3T Sport.

Then, they told me that they ran it at the MF that I gave them (in June still so 0.00006) after they tried to say they used the wrong stock # (4 G70s, only 1 3.3T Sport).

Then, they told me that since it wasn't available so they couldn't run the numbers and give me an estimate if it was available and they were wrong.

So, they basically said they plugged in what I had told them, and then two minutes later said it was impossible to plug in their own values.

They just wanted to sell the car for MSRP to someone. Just aggravated I had to waste 4 hours to find that out.

BTW, Jenkins Genesis of Ocala. Go there at you're own risk. There's a reason they've literally had the same 4 G70s since February.

Can someone look at these numbers and tell me if I am crazy? I ran them at leasehacker and the only way I get the monthly payment of $576 is without plugging in the $3,000 lease cash: leasehackr.com/calculator?make=none&miles=12000&msd=0&msrp=50840&sales_price=47817.65&months=36&mf=.00049&dp=3118&dealer_fee=599&acq_fee=750&taxed_inc=0&untaxed_inc=0&rebate=0&resP=51&reg_fee=47&sales_tax=6.75&demo_mileage=0&memo=&totalLeaseTax_radio=true

It could be that my math brain isn't working this morning, but I just can't wrap my head around where the numbers comes from. Note that if I take out the down payment from the leasehacker calculator, or use $1,500 DP, I get the other numbers presented by the dealer ($667/month with no DP and $623/month with $1,500 DP).

Notwithstanding the MF, accessories, and doc fee, it seems like the monthly payment should be a lot lower if the lease cash is properly accounted for. Once I wrap my head around the calculation, I can deal with the fees and such.

MSRP$50,840.00
Discount (Circle A)$4,137.35
Rebate$3,000.00
Adjusted Price$43,702.65
Accessories$1,115.00
Total Purchase$44,817.65
Acquisition$750.00
Doc Fee$599.00
GA TAVT$1,722.00
Gov't Fees$47.00
Residual (51%)$25,928.40
MF.00049
Monthly payment with $3,118 down (paying fees and taxes upfront)$576

Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks.

I’m not matching their number either. I came up with 559 if you pay all taxes/fees up front.

Where in GA are you? I just leased two weeks ago on an MSRP of $49,120 (with dealer options like tint thrown in) and with $3k down am at $450/month. Bought in Cobb County.

Fulton, but it shouldn't matter (I don't think) since TAVT is published by the state. I don't believe there are separate county taxes.

Would you mind sharing your numbers (or PM'ing them to me)?

Edit: My MSRP is $51,955 with accessories and such. I would expect the payment to be closer to $500 w/ $3,000 down. Your payment seems about right given MSRP difference (and without knowing your numbers).
