If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Hey guys,

I noticed that nobody had made a video on how to install this tune on your Genesis sedan yet, so I decided to be the pioneer.

I had gotten my ECU in first then a few days later the TCU came in after I had already installed the ECU. Having installed the ECU a few days earlier, I knew exactly what to do to get it done so I figured I'd make a post for y'all who didn't know how to do it. I wish someone had made a video before I installed it cause I had no idea what I was doing at first and I spent an hour on something that should have taken 15 mins or less.

So here you go guys, hope this helps anyone who has it and doesn't know how to put it in, or is considering purchasing the tune. Hopefully this can save you guys some money from having someone else install it. It's very simple.

I would highly recommend this being the LAST modification you add to the vehicle because if you add mods after installing this you will have to send them back the ECU/TCU so they can reflash it according to the new mods. I had already modified everything I could performance-wise on the car so I ended up getting some great gains out of this tune. I'd say from my butt-dyno its about an overall 40-50hp BHP gain with probably 15-20 of that to the wheels.

Hi,

I was wondering if You could list the mods that you did and part names because I want to copy you.... Thanks! Appreciate your help

Also what is name of the ECU AND how much dose it cost?

Overall mods? Too many to list. But engine performance/HP boosting mods are the basic bolt ons/everything available to do.

Had a custom fab shop make me a custom 4"intake tube with gold foil wrap and kept the stock airbox with a k&n drop in (I feel the R&D that went into the design of the stock box is better than open element/heatshield that may be ineffective...). Bought genesis coupe 2nd cat deletes that fit perfect. 2.5" I believe. Fully custom straight pipe catback 3" with integrated magna flow x pipe in the middle and 1320 performance tips made by the same shop as my intake. BTR (bloodtyperacing) ECU & TCU tune. That's it. Intake, exhaust, cat delete & tune. Thats all you can do to these cars unfortunately. The tune is no longer available to the public as the supplier stopped selling them. So I was lucky to get one before that and the order took 4 months to come in from korea and cost $1400 just for the tunes (black friday sale price).

Non engine performance parts:
-drilled n slotted brake rotors
-ceramic pads
-sprint booster to cure pedal lag
-ark GTS lowering springs
-good BFG tires and lighter weight aftermarket rims.

Everything else is just cosmetic

In your opinion is the sprint booster worth it?

I just bought some ARC lowering springs and 4 new rims 19x9.5 35 offset. The shop told me they couldn't install the rims because they hit the front caliper. They also said that the lowering springs would wear out my tires because the Genesis doesn't have any camber adjustment screws. What size rims do you have with your lowering springs?

What websites are the best for 09-14 genesis sedan?

If you don't mind me asking, what wheels are you running? and are you using spacers?
