Oh, bummer, even on an HD station, you have to click to go to another multicast? Or you mean when you're looking at the radio frequency dial?
sounds like I shouldn't even do the s/w usb update.
I've found very little changed to the DIS s/w other than a few words here and there and what you mentioned; for example, your agreement screen button says 'confirm', mine says 'agree'... lol

After the latest update mine no longer switches stations as you turn through channels, you have to press to make it switch each time... sucks, plus the POI part of the update are still out of date pretty bad .

don't know about the rules here, but I did that on LXForums for the Modern Mopars back in 2007-2009 and got a nasty Cease and Desist letter from Chrysler and Navteq

Mcc your right, although that price is too high to me considering the POI is not current in the areas I’ve driven to as well as some interchanges have not been updated as well that are years old. I written them about these tings and the way the jog dial is working after the update and they want me to send them pics of my version and sat coordinates of car among other things.

I agree about the way the jog dial changed. Very disappointed. Interesting that they want see where their errors are. Better yet if they fix them.

$145 to get android auto and car play alone is a good deal in my opinion. In fact, I am jealous because I can't get that for any amount of money in my 2016 ultimate!

I've been toying w/ the idea of getting an Ultimate head unit from a salvaged 2017 G80 w/ CarPlay and retrofitting it. Seems like the plugs & stuff would be the same... But they probably are and I'd be out the ~ $100's of dollars to find out!

AA/CarPlay aren't worth finding out one way or the other for me... Still it could be worse, BMW is starting to charge $80 per year for CarPlay to stay on the infotainment system.

BMW is charging for OTA updates that are done when updates become available. The only way we (Hyundai/Genesis) get updates is by replacing the navigation software. So, the cost is comparable.

Isn't it though... F@ckers. But if they get away with it, everyone else will start doing it too, eventually.

Kinda like the Airlines, charging for every little thing - they'd charge you to breathe if they could.
