  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello As a current 2015 Mustang Premium owner I have peltier cooled seats. As I understand it there are only fans in the seats on the Genesis. How good are they in your opinion? And do you see in the future Genesis going to Peltier Cooled as well?

The seat ventilating is OK. You won't catch a chill as it is just drawing air through the vents. They do add some comfort an a long ride, around town I never think to turn them on for a five minute ride.

As for Peltier, doubt we will see them any time soon.

It's very good. Works instantly.

Why do you make assumptions for a car that you don't own abouhow effective it is?

Thanks, I have sworn from here on I will only own vehicles with at least Ventilated seats. I live in Arizona. Will wait patiently for a 3.3T Sport to get into my price range

I do hope they eventually add Peltier Cooling, would be amazing

Tints will help keep the interior cool especially with a dark interior as well. I have Caramel Brown but my headliner is black.

Yes agreed on the tinting, I have everything including my windshield done with at least 35% tint

I made no assumptions. I've driven the G70 with the ventilated seats. They work about the same as other cars I've had with them.

As an owner of over 9 months, I can say it is awesome. Even Patrick from Genesis once said it is almost too cold.
Your experience counts for nothing compared to us owners!
Stop making baseless statements on vehicles you do not own!
You don't see us coming to the G80 side any making up crap do you?

I appreciate your input NLJ. I am very much looking forward to owning one of these cars and am glad you are happy with them!

No, nor do I question your experience.

Place a temperature controlled pad on a table and have ten people feel if it is hot or cold. You'll get 12 opinions when all is done. The ventilated seat cooling is a factor of the seat material temperature, ambient temperature, air flow, your skin moisture and the clothing you are wearing. One man's good . . . etc.

Don't get me wrong, there are things I wish were better or different. But this is not one of them.
Also own a 2019 Sorento with Nappa leather which is even softer than the G70 but the ventilated seats on that doesn't work well until the interior of the car is cool enough.
The G70 works really well in this regard!

I am sure the car is not perfect, but it checks allot of boxes on my list of things I want in a car

Have to agree with EdP - find the cooled seats only slightly cooled. Just enough to notice, never cold. But for someone else, they may consider it cold.

I can also attest to the seat ventilation being almost instant and very cold. I am in VA where it gets over 100° F (110+ with humidity) as well...so I have put them to the test.

In Houston I flip them on with every drive. I think they are very effective. I usually turn them down because I get a bit too cold after a while.

If the car is blazing hot from sitting in the sun it can take a while to be "cold" but it feels better to have them on than off.

Thanks for the input I appreciate it.

I like them , out here in the vegas heat cools my A$$ well.

My car sits outside in the sun all day when I'm at work. The seats are great, but I wouldn't say they are "instantly cold" (which may be a subjective definition) in the same way the AC blowing in my face is. With that said, they definitely can be cold AF. I tone them down a bit in the mornings and have them on full blast in the afternoon when I leave work.

The temperature inside the car seems to play a factor, but I've never had it blow hot air at my ass/back
