  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I recently noticed air flow noise from the dash during start up then it immediately redirects to the face/floor outlets (my regular setting). If for example I have it on a high blower speed, there's almost a whistle next time I get in. Anyone else experience this?

Also, does anyone have access to TSBs or S/Bs?

Mine also does this from time to time.... When starting (and on "Auto") it blows full blast (with a "whistle") from around the defrost vent area and then throttles back and blows through the dash outlets. Air also seems to be leaking out of the defrost - on humid mornings it fogs the outside of the windshield above the vent.

Irritating.

Normal. The car seems to reset after being shut down to a default setting then upon startup it checks conditions. Finding it too hot in the car it puts the blower on full then redirects the air to come through the dash vents. Not sure if I'd say its that bothersome, but a 1st world problem for sure🙄

If it is whistling it is passing air someplace where a damper is not properly opened or closed.

In Auto mode, when hot it should be blowing out the dash vents but there should be no whistle. I can say only twice did I see a tiny amount of condensation at defrost vent and it was a very humid day.

I have no idea how to check the damper position inside the ducts. The thought of the contortions needed makes me want an ibuprofen.

The "whistle" is brief - like just a second.

I'm seeing the condensation in the morning pretty often these days - but it is Swamp Ass season here in SE Texas!
If I put the temp somewhat close to ambient, it's not too bad... I can live with it - as I have no desire to go digging around in the dash either!
