If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Hi , i am new to this just bought a 2013 genesis sedan 3.8 and i would like to know what you guys suggest me about the rear tire size ,
I would like to go 275 , i know i will need to change wheels because the stock might not take it really well ( not sure) i have the stock 18" wheels would like to stick to 18" because the roads here are so bad ,

Let me know your recommendations about the complete REAR wheel sizes and tires

Thanks alot in advance

There is a whole thread on tire sizes with different wheels but I run 20x10 rears with 275/30 next time I get tires I think I'm gonna move to 305/30 for better stance

Alright thx for the info

Would your tires be flush with a 305 rear? And of not what offset required to be perfectly flush? I'm thinking the same on my 5.0 Rpec

I have 20x9 +25 front 20x10 + 40 lowered on storm springs which are about to be available for sale as I bought brand new customized DS series bc coilovers. About to be like an inch lower in the rear maybe 2 in the front. soorrrry I don't have that many pictures of fitment on this phone..

You may not want to run a 305 on an 18 inch wheel, the only viable sizes which are 305/40 or 305/35 all seem to be R-Comps or drag radials. However if you were to run 275/40 or 285/40 on a 10-10.5 inch wheel with roughly a +35 offset there's a lot more options and I'm 99% sure they'll fit with no issues.

The guy asking about the 305s is not the OP. I'm assuming he knows that I'm talking about running a 305 on a 20in wheel..
and no 265/35 front 305/30 rear is same diameter as OEM and the most optimal size(this is the biggest I would go anything more and you're gonna have a plethora of issues.. now for 305 a 10.5 or 11 is more ideal 20x10 wheel is the absolute bare minimum size you're ever put a tire this size on otherwise performance starts to be sacrificed

Oh my apologies, I was paying attention. You're 100% right, I wouldn't go any smaller than a 10.5 wheel for a 305. To the OP, I would try to lean towards a staggered 255/45 and 285/40 setup as it's just a hair shorter heightwise than factory. 275/40 is 15mm shorter and 275/45 is 12mm taller although you do have more tire options.
