  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2009-2014 Sedan Paddle Shifters, anyone?

Congrats David! You'll definitely like it, I know I like them on my 2G and use them whenever I can :D

As for a blind spot thingy .....meh, useless and annoying sometimes. Not many cars can keep up with an Rspec so, I wouldn't bother if I were you

Indeed, I am loving every minute of it, keeping the engine revved up at 3500RPM+ ready to pounce, as I come out of any Apex while hearing the engine / intake sound roar is simply sublime.

For now I going to follow your advice and hold off on the blind spot detector until later just because I love my gadgets.

For anyone trying inquire about MPG while in the Sports mode, please don't! :D

To summarize, I purchased the Kit in Oct 2014 (took 1.5 years ) from:

http://www.innovativeignitionsystems.com/#!f1-wireless-paddle-shifters/cdff

Originally I communicated with Alex who was very helpful and was willing to provide group discount. You are welcome to use me as a reference. However sometimes they were very slow to respond and do not have a direct phone number to call.

* The Kit comes from S Korea
* The Kit comes with basic instructions for installation.
* Additional wiring diagram is documented on the left hand side of the above url.
* Step by Step installation are documented in post #9.

I installed my kit at a custom shop (cartunesofatlanta) that generally deals with exotic cars mods, they were expensive but worth every penny, as they solved every issue without needing to reach out to anyone else.

To me this kits is on par with the rigit collar mod. and gets the R-Spec / 1G closer to 2G, while keeping the original shape (which I still prefer) as well as keeping weight / performance advantage. :)

How is the kit holding up after having it installed for over 2 months? Still enjoying every minute of it?

Does it rev-match for you or is it just a remote control for the shifter?

Absolutely, taking corners in second gear while changing that gear at presisly 6200 RPM upon exit, without taking my hand off the wheel is simply sublime :D

Kg4pto, it acts as a remote control for the shifter while in sport mode.

David,

Can you PM or email me costs for this? I think this would be quite beneficial on the Dragon...which you have yet to make. lol. March 30th for the Spring Run. You in? I'll send you the details.

Email sent. Sorry for the delay as I have been traveling.
Indeed, I will endeavor to make it, no excuses this time around ;)

I would like to know the price of this as well. I have a car tunes near me and am very interested

At the time it was around $350 or so,
As an update to this old thread, it worked very well until the last day of driving that car.
Let us put it this way, now I have been with both G2, I am still right at home, with the exception I no longer have to flick to manual mode.

Over the last year or so I've checked their website and just can't seem to find the paddles. Anyone else have any luck?

They where brilliant on the R-Spec...
now I wish I removed them before handing the car over to the insurance company.

Hello. I am super late as its 2024 but I want to know about your project. Why did you specifically choose a Korean brand for the paddle shifters. Are any aftermarket paddles doable. Thank you.
