  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I needed a replacement battery on a 2015 Genesis 3.8 Ultimate. Ed Voyles Hyundai/Genesis in Smyrna, GA quoted me a price of $379, before a $39 discount. How much have you all paid for a replacement battery?

I haven't had to replace mine yet, but searching on O'Reilly's web site, I see three batteries ranging from 134.99 to 189.99.

H9 AGM is what you want. Don't get a lead acid battery.

My earlier response was for a key battery. A car battery is less than $200 at BJ and Costco

Picked mine up at O'Reillys. AGM $189.

Just curious to know if any Canadian Owners
have found an H9 AGM battery for our cars other than the Hyundai Dealers @ $457 (Ouch!).
Interstate has one coming but currently not available for $377. Nothing @ Canadian Tire or Costco.
Anyone have any idea how long the OEM Battery lasts? My car is a 2016 3.8 AWD but was manufactured
in July 2015 so it's 4 years old now. We don't have O'Reillys up here.

Duracell SLI95RAGM (~$290) is an OEM spec replacement. AGM generally lasts 5 years in these cars.

You can certainly put even cheaper batteries in but they'll perform lower than Hyundai spec calls for.

@ arcman & Suburbazine- Thanks for ideas but neither of these batteries are available in Canada.
Where are the Canucks when we need them ?

East Penn is the manufacturer for SLI95RAGM and they have a number of Canadian locations. Maybe ask them?

@Suburbazine.They do! Only $344 sold by Canadian Tire part # 010-9520-4 in case anyone else is wanting to get one. Many thanks !
