  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Upgraded to iOS13.0 and now my Genesis will not connect via Bluetooth.

Each and every app now has Bluetooth permissions.

is there a fix? I don’t see a way to give Genesis permission for bluetooth

I upgraded to 13.1, but still not resolved. I just shut off my bluetooth, as I cannot stand hearing the nav system complain about no connection.

remove the Genesis from Bluetooth on the phone
remove the phone from the Genesis in the BT setup.

re-attach the phone to the car as a new device.

approve the BT permissions prompt on the phone after the connection.

Will do.

Mr. Incredible....I have paired my iPhone to a 2017 G80 and know those instructions and how to remove Genesis from the phone. I don't know the instructions to delete it from the Bluetooth setup. How do you do that?
Thanks.
PS...sounds like another reason to hold off on iOS 13.

Unless this is incorrect....just found this on page 3-5 in the Multimedia Manual. Mr. Incredible, is this what you did to delete the phone from Bluetooth?

13.1 works fine on my G90. Didn’t ask any permission questions (although it did for other devices).

yes

FWIW I have had to do this in all my cars with 13 and had to do it with I went from 11 -> 12 as well. Also had issue with my Air pods, Apple Watch, Bluetooth Speakers and even my Savi 745 headset I use for work (it's an all in one headset that connects the desk phone, computer soft phone, and cell phone to one heatset)

anytime Apple makes changes to the BT programming it breaks existing connections. I suspect it's probably the same with Android..

iOS 12 or no previous update broke my BT connection in the Genesis G80. I have an iPhone, but I'm still holding off on iOS 13 for other reasons. It's reviews have not been good.

No problems connecting with iOS 13 in either my 2012 or 2015.

Do you have to update in succession? I have original software in my 15 ultimate can I go right to latest update or do I need to go in steps.

Just go to the latest, no interim needed.
