  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Possible solution for Apple CarPlay on Ultimate?

I was looking up way to get Apple CarPlay for my 2015 Genesis Ultimate and found this. Apple Car Play for Hyundai Genesis. Has anyone heard of this or know anyone who’s tried this other cars? Pretty pricey. Who’s down to be GP?

Nice find. No GP here though.

I find myself laughing at the video and at the price (Special Sale Price of $550, down from $1000 MSRP). Add the "Doc Brown" designed controller (lol) that's required, and I'd call this is a hard pass! Maybe at $99 (or less) and even then, it'd be a hard sell. Gotta love Russian reverse-engineering.

On another post, I found that these jokers got a Big Fat "F" from the Better Business Bureau - too many "positive" reviews made me suspicious...

navtool has been around for a long time. they have had some good successes and some failures.

their GM truck GPS while in motion for example bricked most of the units it was installed on, I knew several people that bought it and their units died as a result of how it was interconnected.

their Chrysler unit was great though, I had it.. it was a turn plug and play, unlike the GM it didn't require any additional power supply it used the supplied power coming from the canbus.

can't speak to the Hyundai interface,

Even if it was any good... Not sure if I'd like another "controller" laying around the inside of the car just to have CP. The on board stuff works well enough for me 90% of the time. Just my 2 cents...
