I just handed in my 2017 G80 and got the 2019 G70 (leased both) and what I noticed immediately was the sensors response on the G70 is not nearly as sensitive as the G80 was. With the G80 it annoyingly beeped eveywhere like at traffic lights when any car was close. It also would warn me of a possible forward collision anytime I was getting too close to a car in front of me. Well I've only had this G70 for a few days but I can already tell that this is not the case as I haven't gotten any forward collision warnings or have barely heard the front parking sensors. They do work though since I purposely sped up too close to a car and it warned me but at the last 2-3 seconds. I even changed setting to "early" alert too. Speaking with a sales guy at dealership he said he's experiencing the same result from his newer Sonata compared to an older model and believes Hyundai toned down the response to the sensors due to too many complaints of excess unnecessary warnings. Hmmmm. Anyone else make the same change as me and have similar experiences? On a different topic I just turned on my G70 and there was no sound from radio?? I turned off car twice and that fixed it. Strange. I see that this has been an issue with models a few years back which seems to be related to a battery connection. Hope it was only a one time issue but doubt it. Anyone else experience this?
