Any performance upgrades for a 10 4.6

I have a 10 4.6 sedan and was wondering if there was a place I can buy performance upgrades(air intake, supercharger, suspension, pulleys, etc..)

You can find a coilover setup on CarID for about a grand but that's the only one I've seen so far.

I've heard of some that put a cold air intake but unless you don't mind scrapping the engine covers, you'll have to do some modification to them.

Magnaflow 16497 is the only performance exhaust system I know of that currently fits the first gen 4.6.

There really isn't a lot of aftermarket parts period for these cars unfortunately and even fewer performance parts simply because there wasn't the market for them. You might be able to get a universal turbo kit if you feel comfortable with fabricating it and know enough about installing a turbo kit. Honestly, you may not get much that you'll notice for your effort. The exhaust note will be throatier with the Magnaflow and you may see some improvement but that set is about a grand as well. You have to ask yourself if it's worth spending the money if you don't need to.

I know I'm considering the coilovers if my struts ever start to go because it's not much more than spending the $600 per axle at the dealer just for the parts. I'm not big on trusting junkyard parts off a vehicle I can't verify the mileage put on them either.

Also deleting the mufflers (not the resonator) will be cheaper than a full exhaust and sound just as good, gains are marginal either way. Also a secondary cat delete is cheap and easy.

I haven't put in a CAI, I had just heard it requires modification of some kind. It's my daily driver and I have no interest in spending a lot on mods anyway.

Out of curiosity, if you don't have the filter isolated, how cold is the air going into the intake and is it doing anything positive for performance?

I've checked intake air temps with an OBD2 scanner and it's within about 4-8* of ambient temp, hard to get much better then that. As for performance SXTH who makes the intake showed small power gains on the dyno, but nothing that can really be felt.

Also, I believe the mods I saw were from people that were keeping the stock air box to isolate the filter, they had to cut a hole and make a fitting on either side for the pipe and filter.

WHAT KIND OF INTAKE IS THAT
