  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you pay for your Genesis G80?

The key was having a great wife who did her research, a salesman who knew he was up against a pro, View attachment 24436
knowing that if they couldn't meet our offer, we'd offer to walk... Sure, I can say that now, but we weren't letting this one go.
Beautiful car/color, really nice. What is the name of that color?

That's always the key no doubt. Still curious how the slow moving '19s sales are going to fare now that the 20s are showing up.

PS- Miss my days on the island.
One of my argumentative lines at the dealership was "Is it really a 2020? It's more like a late 2019 holdover. The 2020's will be out this time next year..." The salesman sort of agreed. If we would have settled on one [of two] of the 2019s we probably would have paid about the same.

Its just as much as 2020 as the previous years. Very little has change since the 2018 anyway. People getting confused on when they thought the redesign was going to be released.

Think cooperate was confused as to when new design was going to be released.

$37,500 for a base 2019 G80 plus TTL, in mid November. Threw in locking lug nuts, mud guards, cargo net, first aid kit, window tint.

Been looking at a new 2019 G80 Sport 3.3T RWD. With the Black Friday $1500 bonus cash baked in they are asking $50763. MSRP is $56290. Combined with the 0% for 60 months promotion, this seems like a pretty good deal already. I’d love to talk them down to $49,999 just to say I got the car in the 40’s but their initial offer already seems pretty strong.

Any thoughts?

They are dealing, I could have pushed for the "old" model 2020 but the incentives on the 2019's are stronger.

Right now, the 19's and 20's are both "new" cars, but 38 months from now, the 19 will be a four year old car, and the 20 will be a three year old car. Be sure to factor in that depreciation. Mechanically, they will be the same car.

The Circle A price on that should be around $51.6k so you are close to that. I'm not familiar with the $1,500 bonus cash, that may be a dealer incentive and not corporate so they are essentially selling below Circle A. It wouldn't hurt to counter with $49,500 and see that they say. You also have to take into account any fees they will be charging and if they are reasonable.

I'd tell them knock $764 off the price and you have a deal. :) It sounds pretty good. If you intend to drive it till the wheels fall off, then 2019 vs 2020 won't make much difference. If you trade every two or three years, than the year difference means more. I bought my 2018 G80 AWD Ultimate Dec of 2017. The 2018 models had just come out. Sticker $55,640 their price $48,750 so close to your deal. I might add there were quite a few incentive payments baked into the deal.$1000 competeive owner cash, $500 flex assistance. $500 military veteran cash. I don't know if they still have those incentives but they helped bring the price to $48,750.

Welp, I'm back in the market now that there are dealers. Does anyone have any current estimates on what invoice is for the 2020s? I'm eyeballing the Sport and 3.8 Ultimates. Talking to dealers I'm getting really wild swings in pricing, from 55k to 63k for the sport before taxes and tags.

If you go to Edmunds.com you can build your G80 and see invoice compared to MSRP prices and you can see what the corporate incentives are. There are other sites that will allow you to do the same thing but Edmunds is one of the ones I use the most.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Using autotrader, cars.com, and cargurus.com are good ways to see what the dealers are discounting the 2019s now that the 2020s are on the lots.

KBB.com had similar, it's a quick interface and Kelly Blue Book is known for accurate pricing. They show ranges for new cars, plus used from dealers and private sales, as well as trade-in values.

You can also go to the Genesis website and easily build your car to get their MSRP.

Between now and Xmas you should be able to pick up a 2019 3.3t Sport for 48k or less, at least in DFW.
