  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Got a '15, 3.8, HTRAC/AWD---and may be having a problem. When I accelerate even a little bit "hard" the AWD light comes on and then it stays on until the engine is shut off. I can't find much information at all in the Owner Manual but it does mention if the light stays on, go to dealer...
Two questions: Is this a problem that needs to be dealt with? And, if so, will it be covered by the "power train" warranty? SA

There are some electronics associated with the AWD so it can shift power, depending on conditions.
Good question on the warranty. If a gear broke, sure, covered. I don't know how they would classify the controllers. I'd visit the dealer.

I took this in to the dealer yesterday, talked to the service manager --it took me to minutes to explain what was going on with the AWD before he could understand... He said he had never heard or seen the problem before. I showed him in the owner's manual where it said have dealer check, etc. Anyway, I'm going to take it in next week and they are going to scan and see if they can figure out what's going on...

Hey guys, sorry to resurrect an ancient thread but did anybody get the above resolved?

I have same light AWD that only turns on when you give the car some gas. Took it it to dealership and they replaced the AWD ECU but they are still having issues with it and calibrating it. hoping for some help
