New here and asking for some help

Hello.
I just bought a few month ago a 2009 Kia Sorento 3.8 V6(lambda) and i was wondering what parts form hyundai engine can i use to upgrade my engine. Sorento engine produce 262 hp and i think that hyundai goes for 290 to 306 hp.

Is it possible, like buying a hyundai ecu, manifold, etc?.
Other thing is that the tranny switch gear under 6000 rpm and the fcd is at 6500, so is it possible to upgrade that?.

You can do many things to any car. Including, voiding the warranty, and getting terrible gas mileage. But it will go faster... if that's what you're looking for, get a Genesis coupe and leave the Sorrento alone.

Sir, there is some people that love to do thinks to the cars. For example my 761 HP Toyota Supra, or my 209 hp b20 vtec Rover, or my 433hp twin turbo f150 Windsor V8 4x4. Its the way that i am. And now that i bought this sorento, for smooth travels with my family, i cant stop searching info for aftermarket accesories, or to understands why the hyundai lambda has 30 or 40 more hp. Thats all.
If someone really knows the engine, and its a member of this forum, can help me, ill be very happy and greatfull.

I would not want a coupe. and doing things to cars is mostly what they were made for. I wish I had some suggestions but the data on the Genesis sedan seems very sparse. But Turbos seem a likely way to go. A good knock detector will run the waste gates. Should be fun and with your background should not be too difficult. A Cat back exhaust and better air filtering. Take a look at some of the posts by "THE Doctor"
