  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Advice for not forgetting phone plugged in

Might be better to trigger the app on 1) after the phone's power is disconnected, AND 2) the car's Bluetooth is still connected, since it takes several seconds to recognize the Bluetooth had been shut off.

iOS users: apparently the reminders app or something similar can be used. I’m still looking into it, I can’t seem to get mine to work yet

Here’s another suggestion. Are you married? If not, adding a spouse, or SO, to your daily drive might be helpful. When you get to your destination they would surely help you out by saying “Don’t forget your phone like you ALWAAAAYS do.”

Shit, I better go find a girlfriend so I can remember to take my phone out of the car! :roflmao:

Yeah it's great. She'll also remind you about important things she told you 3 months ago about an important scheduling conflict when you evidently weren't paying attention because you were too busy waking up or something, and how you always do that and must have selective hearing and tune her out whenever you want.....or something like that, I never really know what she's talking about. It's not like it matters anyway - it's just silly girl talk.

(FOR ALL THE TROLLS OUT THERE, THIS IS CALLED SARCASM. ITS FUNNY BECAUSE ITS IRONIC)

I sometimes use a small tactile or visual trigger to remember things. In this case what about a small piece of Velcro stuck to the back of the interior door handle, you should feel it and trigger your memory. Or where you normally park at home have something bright or oddly placed etc in your line of view to help trigger. This may not work I'm sure someone can come up with a better idea. For me, I like having my phone where I can see it (and I'll still forget it occasionally) I think the weather tech cup phone holder will work best for me and my G70. I believe an app with audible alarm when disconnected from your car's Bluetooth would be best though.
