  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 Sightings?

I’m lucky to see one per month.

The slow start in California that discouraged me, and put me into the the 535i, has continued here in Orange County, home of Genesis HQ in Fountain Valley.

Last week I saw the same Himalayan Gray 3.3T Sport twice. At the local Chevron I asked the driver how she liked her G70. She replied she was enjoying the car and her only complaint was not enough room to put her son’s baseball gear in the trunk.

This Chevron is within sight of our local Hyundai dealer which did not remain as a continuing Genesis dealer.

Every time I see a G70 I do think about giving it another test drive. It would be great to rent one for a week and see how it goes. I’m very happy with the 535i, excerpt for the horrible gas mileage, although I don’t think the G70 would give me much better.

I actually see quite a few considering the slow roll out and limited sales. Mostly 2.0's, but I have seen a handful of 3.3t's around

I'm 100% sure my G70 is the only one in my small Ky town. Only had it a few days but each trip into town someone asks about it or stops to look as I go by.

After one year of ownership I have only seen two, a white 2.0T Prestige and a red 3.3T Elite in Miami-Dade Metro area.

Upon some further review, the white 3.3t that I see around my neighborhood is driven by a little old Asian lady. I cracked up laughing when I took the long way home just to catch up and see who was driving. Saw another little Asian lady driving a HR 3.3t on the 5-fwy the other day too.

Apparently the level of testosterone in this forum isn't completely correlated to the customer base

I'm in Dallas as well, I've only seen one G80 but no G70's on the road. That will change over time!

There must be 20+ of them on the lot at Genesis of Plano.

I've only seen 2: 1 in Houston where I live and the other was in Arlington, near UTA.

I see a G80 at least once per day in Houston. I see them in Plano/Murphy area a lot too.

lets see if anyone spots me during the week of drive from illinois to Ohio/ Maryland / Delaware and back :P

If the G70 you saw close to UTA was a MB sport, probably me. I have a favorite watering hole and barbecue joint a few blocks from UTA I go to often.

Most every day I see a G80 or three, occasional G90, K900, and one Stinger. Only ever saw one G70 and that was out of state. I guess I live in Old Farstville area.

Maybe I'm just not used to spotting them yet. I have every curve, line, light and spoke burned and etched into my brain from my G37, but right now I can barely picture the lines of my G80.

I've only seen 1 G70 2.0 in Victoria Black in the Cerritos, CA area. But it happened right after I researched YouTube videos so I took it as a sign o_O

God damnit. Leaving the parking garage at work and saw an exact match for my G70. Same color, same rims. Now I have to find them and destroy them, there can be only one!
Let me know when you locate the suspect. I’ll help 😂😂

Sighted a G80(Debadged hyundai genesis). This was near Columbia Maryland. The car had blackned emblems and side skirts.

Give em a nice hard slap to the sunroof and it'll probably rattle so much they return it in a week

For those who may not have this experience, to clean inside the wheel well or to remove the wheel for changing, there is a horizontal rod and clamp on the inside of the skirt photographed above. Reach up inside the skirt, pull the rod down (or push up) and the skirt releases with minimal effort.
Looks best with a continental kit:

Sounds like a Bruce Jenner move at a nightclub.
