  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does it exist? Or only for the G70?

I've tried to do it per the G70 method. It doesn't say Launch Control like the G70, but it does hold and build boost. I don't have a way to measure 0-60, however it seems quicker to 60.

i just picked up a Dragy. Supposedly pretty accurate so I’ll post some with and without LC times if interested.

That's what I thought.

I just picked up a Dragy. Supposedly pretty accurate, I'll run some with and without LC times and post back. I also installed the JB4 tune kit so will post some with and without tune times for comparison, likely this weekend.

The G80/G80 sport doesn't have LC at all.

My best time is 4.42 I'm tuned with JB4 and I used Dragy.

Cool, which Map are you on and do you have fuel wires installed as well?

Yeah, fuel wires attached. Ran Map 5 on ~30% of E85 topped with 93 octane = ~97 octane

I also dyno my car.... 414whp/481tq

Did you swap plugs? Just trying to gauge your times vs what mods you may have done if you don't mind. Thanks!

Absolutely, colder Denso plugs its a "must". That's all I have, nothing else besides JB4 with fuel wires attached.

I did dyno my car twice...1st time running on 93 octane Map2 (upper)
2nd. time Map5 E85+93=97 octane (bottom)

Awesome. I'm attaching the fuel wires tomorrow and I'm swapping the plugs. Did you have to remove the IM to get the left side bank of plugs out? I'm afraid I'm going to F something up and leave off a hose or screw LOL. Was hoping with a wobbly or something, maybe someone was able to get them out without issue.

A good friend of mine, who owns body shop, did everything for me, as far as I know he followed the video clip how to replace the plugs without removing IM.

Those are some serious numbers. Quite impressive.
What’s she do the ¼ mile in ?

I have no idea, probably lil faster than stock one, lol

Yes you can change the plugs without removing intake manifold. The rubber comes off of the coil and everything sneaks out of there. I will attach a picture of the tools I used.
question on the launch..
Did the turning off traction and stability let it launch without falling on its face and also let it brake boost/build boost? If it didn’t I wanted to do the brake wire snip, but was hoping I didn’t have to...

Thanks!!! I’m definitely not a pro, so knowing this can be done with removing the IM is huge. And I have all those tools. Anything I need to be aware of? Or pretty straightforward? Did you use any grease on the new plugs (I see many use none, and many use anti-seize, etc).

No grease on plugs if you don’t have a feel for proper torque find a torque wrench. I know they don’t need much

Okay so I tried something tonight, with sport mode on and traction and stability turned off. Foot on brake. Gas all the way to the floor it revved to 2500rpm. Released brake and the immediate jump was much better then what I remember and also better then just mashing the gas from idle. Torque really kicks in at 3,000 rpm. This works good enough for me to not want to do the brake snip modification with a switch. I wouldn’t hold the brake and gas more then a few seconds if you are awd. Sounds like a good way to brake stuff and things. ALL in it felt like a much faster launch then previous.

Now get the Dragy and do some 0-60 pulls, lol

btw. what fuel are you using, 93 octane? Map2?

Yup 93 , map2. K&n filters. May upgrade to air intakes after tax season but he runs great the way it Is set already.

Do you mean "break" things? Wouldn't that wear the clutch a bit?
