A rodent got into the wiring harness.Well what happened there?
Damm that stinks! That is a worry of mine, my 5.0 has been sitting since early november. I have lots of traps around the garage for that reason. I have a couple other vehicles that also sit? I had a D8 Cat dozer that got mice in the cab and destroyed it. Only 5 years old!!@ Man that really stinks . I hope you get it right and back to its original shape!! Good luck Mg8, really man good luck !A rodent got into the wiring harness.
Not the point but......results :![]()
Yes that is in pieces. If you have a nice place to work in and not rushed to do the job it can be done. I would break a lot of plastic pieces and clips. I give him lots of respect, that's work man.Not the point but......
I couldn't tear my car down that far without completely destroying it, not if my life depended on it. I am amazed by people who can do this and get it all back together and no left overs
Oh...and GOOD LUCK TO YOU!
Is stuff just stacked on the roof? Or is there a protective layer of something under all that "interior"?results :![]()
If the dealer is doing repair , my guess would be they just threw it up there! Them guys dont care!Is stuff just stacked on the roof? Or is there a protective layer of something under all that "interior"?
And how much of the wiring are you replacing/repairing? I'd guess the price of wiring harnesses are akin to gold!
there is a blanket on the roof.Is stuff just stacked on the roof? Or is there a protective layer of something under all that "interior"?

dealer, i wouldnt trust a independent shop to do this job.Who is doing this work? Dealer, indy shop or you?
Covered by insurance at all? I've always check for glass coverage but never looked for a rodent clause.dealer, i wouldnt trust a independent shop to do this job.
yes customer filed a claim, but insurance claims are still considered as customer pay.Covered by insurance at all? I've always check for glass coverage but never looked for a rodent clause.
Independent shops can be great but I think you made the right choice using a dealer for this. More likely to have some experience and test equipment.
that sucks , honda actually has some rodent tape for situations like this.Between parking my G37S on a Friday after work in the garage and a Monday morning car suddenly would not start. Was stuck in my garage so did not have an easy way to even get it to an Infiniti dealer. Took me several weeks of part time trouble shooting but eventually found 5 of the 6 fuel injection wires eaten thru by something. Got each wire spliced together properly and problem resolved. Pissed me off so keep rodent poison all around the inside of my garage since then.
