  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just started getting a message in center dash display that service is due in 828 miles. Presently have 3217 miles on clock and not aware of any service required prior to 6000. Checked messages regarding vehicle maintenance on computer and and states no issues. Any explanation would be welcomed.

The car doesn’t know anything, service intervals are manually set and your sales guy most likely set it to 3500 before you picked it up. If you’re on the severe schedule in the US that would be your first service. If you’re not you can reset it yourself by changing it in your center gauge display

Thanks and will give it shot. My Genesis has been set to "none" in terms of hard driving habits. and shows 8700 miles to next service.

What does ‘set to none’ mean? The manual describes severe service, if it applies to you then you follow that schedule. Only you and your SA can look at the manual and decide if that applies

Thanks. That did the trick.

Going to settings in center display and scrolling down to maintenance and resetting the mileage alert to 6000

Good thread timing. Just this week mine starting saying service due in 28 days. WTF? What kind of service? Just did my first oil change this weekend and was poking around on the screen trying to set my oil change interval. Found maintenance setting and it has miles and a time span. Mine was defaulted to 3 months somehow. I set the time to all zeros and put 4500 miles for service interval. Now if there was only a way for me to record my own oil change in the Genesis app like the dealer would, that would be cool.

The app has a service history tool for recording things. You can also make entries a Genesis Owners Homepage | MyGenesis
