  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
1G Genesis Sedan (2009-2014)
2010 4.6 A/T I’ve had this code on my OBD scanner for almost 3 months and I’ve noticed a huge change in my engine performance, I’m having no luck locating this valve that supposedly needs to be replaced and I’ve already bought the part. If anyone can help I’d greatly appreciate it.

You are right, and wrong. Yes, the purge valve is generally the problem with P0496. BUT, that is the wrong part #. That's the part # for a 2015+ 3.8 Genesis, and multiple other models, but it is not the right one for your car. You need a 28910-26900.

GarnetTy has the correct part #. I changed it on my 09 4.6 when i first got it. it is mount on/near the driver side fuel rail toward the front of the engine:
