  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The heating system on my 2015 Ult. that I picked up back in Nov. '18 seemed to work fine until last fall when it was time to start using the heat again. I don't use the 'Auto' mode much. If it's cool, I just bump it up a few degrees. The car will heat up fine but if you decide it's too warm and turn down from let's say 72 to 71 deg., it basically turns off all heat and cool air comes in. One degree down on the dash and it completely changes temp coming out of the vents. Not like air conditioning cold, but easily a 10/15 degree drop. There's no middle ground... like it was a year ago.

I've compensated by leaving the temp up a bit and adjusting the fan down but something's definitely changed and I'm wondering if any other owners have had a similar problem and how was it fixed?

Try putting it in AUTO and see what happens. In winter I set it to 70, in summer I set it to 72. Since moving south I've not touched it in 14 months. Could be a bad sensor.

Mine does weird sh!t sometimes... like it occasionally tries to roast me with max heat on the driver's side while pushing cool air elsewhere, even when set on "SYNC". Usually solves itself after restarting the car, mostly. Am contemplating pulling the HVAC fuses to try to clear it's memory. A few months ago it wouldn't give me AC, then I pulled both AC fuses (inside & under hood), then reinserted and AC reverted to normal operation.

If you have or are having AC issues there are a few of us who propose crafting a letter to submit as a group to Genesis Motor America corporate. Does anyone know how to create a survey in this platform to find out who would help edit and be willing to co-sign such a letter?
