  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just want to replace the mufflers for now keep all stock pipes just want a little more sound for now. They have various sizes of straight through mufflers from magnaflow . I was wondering what size is the easiest replacement

I searched magnaflow theres 4x9 oval. 5x8 oval. 5x11 round. And glasspacks. No idea the difference.

The oval would be the MagnaFlow muffler that fits into the space given. I'm not certain what size MagnaFlow mufflers I had before I replaced with a Borla Catback, but I think I had the 5x8 oval with the offset inlet and outlet.

Keep in mind, once you cut up the factory exhaust and install new mufflers, there really isn't a great way to go back to stock cleanly. When I did the MagnaFlow mufflers years ago, there were no catback exhausts available at the time, so I had no choice but to have an exhaust shop hack the factory exhaust up.

I did the catback back Magnaflow exhaust for my 3.8 and love the sound

As a heads up, I just did a custom setup for my exhaust if you go with oval mufflers in the factory location they are offset same side exit mufflers for the 2009-2011 cars. Factory piping is 2 1/4" however the exhaust tip is 2.5" necked down to 2 1/4" at the muffler.

did a flowmaster setup, check it out!
I LOVE the way it sounds! COVID has paused me upgrading my exhaust (was trying to purchase a full cat back from a fellow member) but I think I will try to get a custom one made. I love this....Thank you
