Nice car, but I still don't like the center stack design. The matte black plastic looks cheap and the silver vertical trim looks a bit tacked on and doesn't flow with the wood on either side of it.

With that said, I'm anxious to drive one.

The plasticky dashboard trim and various design elements through out the interior seem somewhat cheap looking and lackluster in comparison to the other competitors in the luxury car segment. While it would not be cost effective to completely change the interior for the North American market, I thought that maybe Hyundai would at least try to differentiate the Equus US version interior from the Equus KDM models slightly with a better upgrade of quality materials.

My wife asked the price of the car and they told her not to worry about it cause we won't be able to buy one next year. There will be 1000 or so coming into US next years and they are all sold out already according to the representative at the Auto show.

well, that was rude. it doesn't matter if they are already sold out unless this is just going to be a one-time, one-shot deal. if they plan on having a wider release the following year, then the pricing has to be known. i guess they just don't want the public to know how expensive the thing is.

I was at the dealer where I bought my Genesis V8, they are one of the selected dealers to preview the Equus. It is a very nice machine....see my pictures in my albums.

I have to say when I first saw pictures of the Genesis, I wasn't impressed at all. A copy cat Lexus LS, so what. But when I saw the car in person I was very impressed. Same with the Equus. The car in person is much better than in pictures. Little things start to come to life in the car, and it's amazing the amount of detail and luxury in the car, considering it's Hyundai's first try. Suede headliner...I felt like the Prince of Zamunda for a second.

Wow, that's horrible! This is what happens when you have worthless Hyundai of America employees that haven't been trained in the proper etiquette of selling/presenting a high end luxury automobile to the general public.

Actually, the Genesis is more BMWish than anything else (but then again, so is the latest edition of the LS).
