Hey guys, new G70 owner. I've had it for a few months now. This is my first post but I have lurked around here the past couple of months.
Anyone else find it annoying that there's no option to view your audio info on the driver info cluster? I always have my phone plugged in with android auto and leave it set to google maps with my destination plugged in so I can keep monitoring the traffic and incidents while I drive. It's good to have a quick heads up of changes in traffic (by how google color codes traffic with yellow and red) so you can anticipate it and start slowing down gracefully before you hit the minor traffic/choke point, whether it be a heavy merge, construction, broken down car, etc etc. In more urban driving I just leave Waze on for the same reason but also plus red light and speed cameras, as there a shit ton of both where I live (NYC).
So anyway, I usually just play whatever music I want to using my voice (ok google) and it's nice to get a quick notification popping up on the driver cluster of what just started to play (to make sure google understood me correctly) but then it usually plays songs which it deems similar to the one you just played and thinks you will also like because of that reason.
It'd just be nice to have a quick peek at the driver info screen to see what's playing at all times as opposed to switching back and forth between nav and music on android auto, esp when driving on the highway.
Here's to hoping google adds a feature in AA where in the bottom bar section of the nav screen it shows the audio controls (pause, skip etc) it will also show a quick bit of song info like the title and artist. That would literally be the perfect fix. Have google maps/Waze on screen at all times with the song info displayed at the bottom with small icons for pause, previous and skip. We don't even really need the icons because we have our steering wheeling controls to mute, prev and next track but I guess they're useful for the passenger, and for that reason the icons being small wouldn't matter because it's not like the passenger is too distracted to not focus on them and press the right one since they're not you know...driving!
Anyways, other than that, I love the car!
