  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello, went out to start my 15' Genesis 5.0L and got a flashing check engine light. Engine sounded a little weird but not too bad. I turned it off and borrowed a scan tool, P0307 misfire code.
thinking it might just be a coil, but wanted to see if this is a common problem and maybe it's something else.

Thanks for the input!

Exact same thing has happened to me. I started it up and the engine sounded wonky. The CEL was flashing too. I shut it off and restarted and everything was fine.

I just put in some techron & another fuel additive and used high octane. Nothing since then. If you get it diagnosed I would like to hear what the root cause was.

Hello, I had the same issue recently and the dealer diagnosed the misfire. They said that it's probably a bad coil. They will replace the coil if this error will pop up again.
