  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello, so I have 2015 Genesis sedan. I purchased it brand new, and now all of a sudden when I lock and unlock my car, it doesn't do the beep and the flashing of the lights. Also, when I get close to the car, the car doesn't sensor the key fob being close anymore either. Has anyone else had this issue? Please help.

Check the door and light settings in the instrument cluster. Do the buttons on the door handles/trunk still work when the car is locked?

You may have a door lock actuator that has gone bad. Happened to me as well. Wouldn't lock. Covered under warranty.

Try getting into the car and hitting the lock button on the driver door. Look at all four doors to see if the locking mechanism engages. If not, actuator it is. If they all lock, dealership would be your best bet to diagnose the issue.
