  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My left tail light on both the body and trunk, and the LED light on the front left side work sproradically, more often than not. I only found out they were not working when I was pulled over. Our local dealer said it was the FAM module and with labor, will cost me $1100. I found FAM modules online from a Hyundai parts dealer for less than $500. I have seen the diagram of where it goes. Is this something I should be able to install myself?

I have the exact same problem with a 2012! I was pulled over about my rear light out as well. I downloaded the Tail Light diagram. I thought there may be an issue with the Multifucntion switch or the possible FAM module. Can you let me know if replacing the FAM module fixes the issue? I will attach the wiring diagram for the FAM module as well as the Tail lights.

It turned out to be a short in the wires, which a lot of people suspected. The mechanic had to go through a lot of the wiring to find it but I believe he found the short behind the left headlight
