  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello,
Can anyone help me with this? I have a G70 3.3t but i am not sure which model i have or if i have adaptive suspension.. i would like to lower the car but I've read that if equipped with ECS, coilovers might throw errors so lowering springs would be the best bet... but if my car does not have ECS could i get coilovers without error codes?

Sorry for the long post

Its actually a fairly short post, nothing to be sorry about.
Do a Google search for web sites where you can enter the VIN and get information about the car. You can get a copy of the window sticker too, on some of them.
I've not used it but you can try here to start.

Go to the custom drive modes, if you have an option to adjust the suspension....then you have adjustable.

Side note: how do you not know your trim? Did ya steal it? :p

If your car has the Sport package, you have the ECS.

You can run coil overs with the Ecs. You just need to get the little code cancelling plugs as well. Sadly they are not cheap. I think anywhere from 250-400 for all 4.

I have springs to lower my car but I’m also getting 28” tall drag slicks which may be tight being my current tires already rub and they are only 26.8” tall. But I think I’m going to get the mando suspension controller. It seems pretty solid plus it’s only about 400$. A few of the top stingers are running them with good reviews

Ohh thats right you track your car.. im just going for looks and better ride quality. I wonder how hard it is to get to the rear suspension top hat?? How much do i have to tear apart just to access it

No idea. The springs alone were super easy for the rear. I could imagine getting the shocks out would be to much more work

They appear to be a quality product. Good luck with the install. Hope it turns out well for you.

Got them in today.. the fronts were easy but the rears were a bit challenging to adjust.. ride quality is good a bit stiff but gotta play with the dampening adjustments

Nice!!!! Can wait to see what you think after a little time with them. Sadly adjusting these I’m sure is going to take quite a few months. Im
Use to dirt bikes and those can be fine tuned for the toughest of conditions in a solid 6-8 hours of constant testing. But a car on the other hand you kinda have to drive it in multiple settings multiple times to see how it handles

Yeaaa man today our main focuse was to get the height somewhat good.. since im on stock 19 in wheels the look is extremely tucked in but im getting spacers tomorrow and then re adjust the height accordingly.. after that will start messing with the dampers.. wish i had money for a wheel and tire set up but spacers will do for now.

I think it looks good. It will probably settle a little from from where it’s at so I wouldn’t go down at all yet. Get your spacers on. Give it a few weeks for everything to get some time. Then go over it all to get the stance you want.

Hey I’m looking into these. How are they a few months later?
