  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Front license plate mounting

You can use any plastic bracket @hrmneyezin. I used this BACK PLATE for my car. This bracket goes on the tow hook but i didnt like it there so i mount it on the lower grill. I only used the the plate
I put some soft tape on the back side of the back plate to avoid strach on the bumper. Then mount the back plate with strong zip ties to the lower grill. I add the plate frame and screws. Also used the screw caps to hide bolts. Everything in black color look great.

TinsleyC. The link takes me to
1995-2000 Chevrolet Tahoe License Plate
Ther forum inserted that hyperlink, I didn't.

"I hate it when it does that".

I have my front plate mounted on the tow hook. I initially bought this mount from Cravenspeed but it didn't fit at all. It was way too far to the left and was hitting the bumper. I emailed them and they essentially shipped me the 2020 Kia Soul one (I know, it's odd) but this one fits much better. They also sent an extension arm so I could mount it more to the left. My G70 has the sensors in the front so this mount doesn't interfere with those anymore. They also sent a shorter tow hook bolt so the plate doesn't stick out as much with the larger bolt. It took some back and forth with emailing them but they were more than happy to make it work. The build quality on this mount is very good too. It's solid.

That beats the heck out of drilling holes...

My OCD just has to have them centered. My brain goes funny on an off-centered plate.

Seems like Genesis would offer a mount that clamps through the grill work.

I'd love to have this arrangement. Cop pulls me over for no plate, I press the button and say "it must have been a different car, office - I have a plate, can you check again?"

That's Awesome. How much do you think something like that costs?

This is how I’ve mounted my front license bracket2F669BFA-B9CE-49EF-8BEC-4D12DD24CD65.webp

Not sure why my license plate mount wasn't installed at the dealer since we require front plates in MD. They just leave the mount in the trunk. I don't mind though. I'm going to let it roll for now til I get pulled over.

I have a 2021 G80. It looks like with the bracket they supply, you must drill through the plastic behind the grill. Is that right? There seem to be a few dots that may be the marks for where to drill.

I'm looking at this:

Don’t, it looks like the EOS plate which has some plastic brackets so it’s cheaply made, I sent mine back and got the RHO plate instead. It’s the best one on the market and has infinite mounting positions.

I also sent back the cravenspeed one because it was interfering with the front sensor and could only be mounted one way and it stuck out way too far as someone mentioned.

It’s a little pricey, but I’m very happy with the quality.

Thank you for the feedback---I'll definitely check it out.

Welcome. It’s raining out otherwise I’d take a pic for you.

Below is a pretty good product shot I found. Take a look at all those holes, you can position it anyway you want. I positioned mine nice and low so it covers the least amount of the grille without interfering with the sensors. Plus it has an articulating swivel. All metal parts.
