  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

We of the Genesis Sedan/G80 world are Widgetless... And some of us are Android Auto & CarPlayless too.
I ordered a case of widgets from Wile E. Coyote at the Acme Widget Company. Should be here next week. I'll send you one when the come in.

I have a question about the new update. I am correct in that people on this forum were able to see there current speed on GPS/headunit ? I only get the posted speed limit.
I can on my 2018 version. You have to enable it in the menu.

I looked for some type of setting for it but did not see it? I am horrible with this stuff. I can be right in front of me and I'll miss it! Thanks Ed.👍

I tried it... for about 15 mins. Looking straight ahead via the HUD and/or the IP is much less distracting. Besides, it just rats you out to The Missus to how fast you're actually going!

I love the hud speedo display and wifey can't really see it from the passenger seat

Exactly - I can get away with going near 100 when she thinks I'm doing 75!

My G90 is the first car I've had with a HUD. And it really is a good one. I say that because I've realized how rarely I look down at the instrument cluster anymore. I'm already forming new driving habits. The info I need is right there.. just an eye-focus change away. I dont really ever look at the standard cluster anymore.

just ordered touch version for $35 to upgrade the 15. use android auto anyways so not sure how much difference it will be for the base software.

Someone posted in one of these threads that if you pop the SD card out, the radio boots up almost instantly, and still works - so does AA/CP. Just wondering what else doesn't work. I'll need to try it.

That's like the 4th place you can see your speed after the speedo, HUD, and the LCD between the gauges.... lol... I never understood why you would want the LCD speed display right next to the speedometer.

I agree with you . Kind of redundant I know ,but I was curious because I did not see it and I just like to know how to operate all the features

And the Speed Readout is not in a great place - in the upper left corner where it can be tough to see.
