  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The rear view camera in my G V3.8 stopped working. When I put the car in reverse the camera doesn't turn on. The radio and all other functions associated with the touch screen are still active when the car is in reverse. Shortly after this occurred, my tail lights started blinking while I was driving. This has been resolved by adjusting the negative battery cable. Is there a fuse associated with the camera? If so where is it located I've checked the fuse box in the hood but found nothing that indicated a fuse associated with the camera. The dealership is charging a 150 to run a diagnostic test, I would like to know if others have had a problem with a Genesis 2015 3.8 camera and if so how was it resolved.
Thanks
Dave

One known issue with the backup camera is a fraying wire harness. It frays in the trunk. That might be it. But they must be careful not to have the battery connected. While fixing my backup camera they fried my head unit.

Thanks for responding, where is the trunk is the wire harness, or how do I access the wire harness?

Don't remember exactly. The location is shown in one of the other threads here.

the wiring harness in attached to the underside of the trunk lid and follows hinges, i believe on the right side. My harnes snapped almost completely in half, i had it replaced under warranty at the dealer. The motion of the trunk opening and closing over time breaks the wires in the harness. It happens to alot of cars. Its similar to bending a metal hanger back and forth until it snaps.

Yup, happened to me early this year. I had the blue screen with yellow grid lines. They repaired some wires and it’s been working ever since.
