Yup, the very first thing I did when I got this car was dashcam and OCC.Got a dashcam? Maybe you could have luck claiming the person did not secure their load properly
its one of the things I recommend to everyone who will listen. you can get a basic front facing one for 60-70 bucks and it is the nicest piece of mind. I hope it becomes standard equipment on all cars, in the same way backup cameras are mandated. Insurance premiums might even go down if everyone had one! That sucks. Thinking I need to get a dashcam. It really should be a factory option on cars that already have extensive cameras.

That's what she said....the person did not secure their load properly
What did you have to get fixed that costed over 2k?Doesn't look too bad, but, I'll say this. I had the same thing happen back in 2008 with my Acura TL on a drive from Austin to Dallas on I-35 (I was on my way to visit the 6th Floor Museum, which I recommend every American visit at some point. Go for yourself and stand behind the Grassy Knoll fence and see how clear a shot that is).
Anyway something flew off of trailer full of household items (someone was moving I guess and was using an open trailer). By the time all was said and done, it was a $2500 repair job, which I guess is characterized as minor in the scheme of things. I was livid because I had to claim it on my comprehensive coverage (which it sounds like you might have to as well). I mean that's why we have insurance in the first place, but still you know that bill is going up.

If I recall correctly, it was basically front bumper, paint, headlight light assembly. What did you have to get fixed that costed over 2k?
That blows!
Yeah, there was a driver of a new C8 that got clipped on the side by a motorcycle w/ the motorcyclist claiming that the C8 was over the line, but the cam on the C8 proved otherwise.
Let me guess... the motorcycle was trying to do that annoying "cut you off unnecessarily close after passing" move to be a jerk/goad him into racing, and misjudged it.
Jesus... would've stopped my heart for a second. they both crossed yellow lines. hope yall were all okay!nah bikers coming from other direction too fast on a curve and crossed over the double yellows:
I totally understand what happened to you and how you may feel. Was driving my new 2005 TL up I 95 and a circular saw fell out the back of a pick up truck and when I hit it, cut my front bumper in half. Almost like out of a cartoon. Hopefully you can get repairs done quickly.
Definitely get one. I have Viofo A129 pro duo. It's a bit expensive but good imo. I can see at night pretty well too.Sorry about your car, that would be upsetting.
I've been considering a dashcam as well. Here's a thread on it.
