  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I recently had the Strutmasters kit installed on my 2013 Equus. The past week or so I really started to notice a thunk over large bumps. Reminded me of the sound/feeling of when the transmission mount would go out on my '93 Firebird. As I drove it more this week I realized it was only happening on large 'bumps' otherwise it was smooth. Did some investigating and turns out the spare was not fully locked into place in the trunk. It was fairly loose and was bouncing loudly over larger bumps.

Something to check out if you are having similar issue.

Spare tire was my initial thought when reading the post title. Glad you got it figured out...for free!

I initially thought it was related to the installation of the new suspension. I was shocked at how loose it was!
