I just wanted to spread some info and awareness to my fellow Genesis owners.

I recently messed my rear fender, which is held on by a black plastic bracket. This bracket connects to inside of the Tail light area. I checked all of the Hyundai Factory parts sites and that particular part was discontinued like damn near every other part for our cars. I checked Ebay and they had that part but it was at a junk yard and grossly overpriced ($120 or so). Luckily, I was able to solder the black bracket tabs back together . However, my OCD did not allow me to keep such a nice car with solder pieces.

I stumbled upon PartSouq Auto Parts and looked up the part.... sure enough it was there AND they had multiple parts. It was $18 including shipping (UPS)! This company is stationed in Dubai and Genesis is pretty popular out there according to my research. I ordered the part Sunday Night May 31, which is Monday morning in Dubai. The part was shipped Wednesday and it arrived today June 8th.

The Box was heavily taped and very secured. Inside was my brand new part with a Genesis sticker outside the plastic and the part itself had the Genesis brand on it with part number. Seems authentic to me.

Anyway, just wanted to pass some info along since our parts department discontinued so many of the parts from their sites. I hate calling asking for parts. I rather just research, buy, and receive.

Never bothered to Google what that meant. I thought it was an odd looking word at least for me. Makes total sense lol.

What makes you think parts are discontinued for the G70 already? I have yet to run into a part that I can't get. And, if it's the bracket I think it is, it's only $11.03 here in the US, and it's available at 5 of the 8 warehouses. What part # did you buy?

Sounds like you damaged the outer bumper cover retainer? If so it's $11.03 and I would assume any Genesis dealer could have supplied it overnight or at least 2nd day.
What's up with you thinking parts had been discontinued? Did your dealer tell you that? Curious.
All this is based on "messed my rear fender" meaning you actually damaged a rear quarter panel? Or does it mean you damaged the bumper cover itself?

As for the discontinued question, go on Hyundai parts sites and you will see a lot of parts are discontinued or stop at Genesis year 2016, I believe another gentlemen touched on this in another thread. To paraphrase, it had something to do with some the Hyundai dealerships not having the authority to sell Genesis parts online. I believe parts you find will be parts that are shared amongst other Hyundai/Genesis vehicles, and specific Genesis parts are labeled discontinued.

If the Hyundai dealer that is running those sites is not a Genesis dealer, then they cannot get Genesis specific parts. Nothing has been discontinued. I can still get some really obscure parts for cars from 90s.

Correct! You will find Genesis parts when under the brand Hyundai/Genesis moniker. Now find Genesis OEM parts sites strictly for the new generation of 'G' and 'GV' models lol. If there are any, please link them here and I'm not being sarcastic... I'm serious

The problem with our car is that it is very unknown/unpopular, Genesis breaking off to their own branch (which is good in the long run for future cars), and the car being mainly supported in Korea. I personally love that sh*t because I know I'm driving something exclusive. However, since they are no longer Hyundai, getting parts online is a nightmare for us *Online Shoppers*.

As a parts manager, I'm sure you're good at finding parts within that realm. For the average guy online looking for stuff on a Sunday night, having accessible sites without having to dig a tunnel to find things would be good.
