  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does anyone know where the alarm horn is located? I know its over on the driver side of the engine near the top. I want to replace it with something that doesn't sound like it belongs on a kids bike. :p

You mean it doesn't use the car horn (which also sounds like a kid's bike)?

That alarm horn is a JOKE!

The car horn is good though.

One day, while at a "Big Box Store", I had trouble finding where I parked my car. OK then, I'll just press the horn button on my FOB. Pushed it for a few seconds, but still could not find the car BECAUSE I COULD NOT HEAR THE HORN! Walked around for a while and finally found the car in the next isle. Again pushed the horn button as I thought it did not work. Well, the horn went off, and the lights flashed, but it was the poorest excuse for an alarm horn I've ever heard.

you guys need to look at my thread on the genesis air horns & i posted pics where that little locator horn is along the fire wall, good luck & believe me its well worth unplugging that liitle bicycle horn, just click on search and put in AIR HORNS & look for the thread i started

Has anyone tried to remove the ECM to get to the alarm horn? There are 3 big connectors that go into the ECM that I am afraid of disconnecting. I'm sure if i disconnect the battery I should be ok but I want to check with any of you that might have attempted to do this project. Here is a link to what the ECM looks like. http://www.flickr.com/photos/26634176@N06/4339004889/

I have not tried it, but what replacement did you find for the alarm horn? I have seem some threads with replacement horns, but I am not sure if they would fit the alarm horn (they seem to be for the regular horn).

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

I just went to the junk yard and pulled out two horns from a Lexus. I really want the siren from the BMW alarm system but it requires more in depth modification.
