  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

A friend wants to know, does the JB4 deal that this site have going on include the custom wiring harness that makes it a bit more plug and play? Or is that separate?

(I'm post 1200 btw; not sure why I noticed that, but it seemed oddly congruent with the Universe)
The custom wiring harness for the Fuel Wires is NOT included. You can DIY or get someone to do it for you, etc.

Saw these PnP ones on eBay. Costs a little less than Burger's. Appears to be good quality.

You can buy them directly from Burger

Not really. The guy from Stinger forum (ecko04) was making them and selling for $65 shipped. Dozens of members bought them from him, including me. As a matter of fact, I ordered 2 sets by mistake, lol

Of course, it was ~9 months ago. They might be cheaper now.

I paid $55 shipped from him. So yeah...good price. For some reason I thought I paid ~$30. Year ago 😜

Beefer, did you get yours up and running again? What was the problem?

Nope...haven’t even messed with it. I don’t even drive anymore...LOL. Perhaps tomorrow I will make sure all the connectors are clean...and try again.

Question for anyone...

I do use BOOSTane Pro. Since I rarely drive lately...wonder if the fuel is giving the JB4 issues.

Not sure if the BOOSTane settles over time or if it’s permanently blended with the fuel.

This all started when I stopped driving because of the lock down.

First time it happened was when I went to the store after the car sat for over a week. JB4 was not recently removed/reinstalled.

So starting to think it’s a fuel thing?

But...car runs perfect without the JB4.

Doubt it.

Did you check with Terry?

Agreed with @Slip_Angle - if your car is starting and running just fine without the JB4, and it's stalling with the JB4 even in Map 0 - then there is definitely something going on with your JB4.

Just like you mentioned, I'd double check all the wiring and look for damaged wires, and air blast those connectors.

There's some delay to get going but once started it moves pretty good.

Edit: You know, it just looks to me like the car is quickly calculating and implementing torque limits off the line, causing the delay. It seems the more power a tune tries to push off launch, the longer it takes to get going...

I could be crazy but it sure seems that way.

I swear...I don’t drive anymore. Just got some cans of compressed air. Will clean and attempt this weekend.

Zero motivation these days. Sorry.

Hey guys new here and I just installed my jb4 and running map 1 for now. I have the denso spark plugs on the way and will install them at .022 and will run map 2 then. But I was wondering what else I would need to run the higher maps and how important it is to have 93 octane for those? Only got access to 91 in this wonderful rule riden state.

With 91...you are probably stuck with Map 2. Map 3 needs min 93 IMO. Map 3 shines when 96 or higher. I run 99 by adding booster to 93...in Map 3.
