  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

- Connected routing (Server Based Routing or SBR) - Hating this one / I don't think maps would work in no connection zones
- New map display and easy to add POI display on the map
- Current vehicle speed displayed on the screen
- Added ‘La Liste’ restaurants, the world’s top 1,000 best restaurant selections
- Providing function to display navigation guidance at the top of the screen while viewing other screens
- ‘Drop-Down’ search function updated to ‘Toggle’. Can now search by distance, name or best match.
- When vehicle is at complete stop for more than 15seconds, the route overview is displayed.
- Adding more map themes : Milk(Default), Café latte, Mocha
- Improvement to media playback
- Added cover image to background for advanced GUI on media playback screen
- Added Sound of Nature
- Custom select multi-selection playback (album, artist)

Thanks - Not sure how I missed it :/

But you summed it up very well in one post though.
One thing I noticed today though hopping between apps seems a bit hesitant or with a very small delay like 1 ms or two.
Another thing I noticed is the nav vehicle speed is roughly1-2mph slower than the car speedomoter speed.
My Beltronics Pro 500 radar detector concurs with the nav's numbers.

To my knowledge, many vehicle manufacturers calibrate the speedometer to read slightly higher than actual speed.

Yup GPS speed is the actual speed of the car. Speedo shows a reading from the drive train which is usually lower than GPS speed. same thing happens when I use Waze.

Allow me to add a short story on my 2016 Chevy Colorado (traded for the wife's Santa Fe, it was a good truck too).
From day one. With the factory OEM tires, the speedo clocked at least 3 mph faster than any GPS numbers I tested with.
Two yeas or 30k miles later I changed all 4 original tires to the same exact brand and type.
Guess what! The new 4 tires matched everything I tested with.
Go figure! To this date I am still baffled by this.
It is really no such big deal now knowing I drive faster than it really is but it'd be bigger deal the other way around.

Not the '20 Santa Fe or my ex 13 genesis r-spec.
Both speedos matched exactly with my Beltronics or Waze.

As I stated before my NAV reported speed is 1 mph less than my HUD and speedometer which are the same. I've only been able to see it on the Nav screen since the version 14 install.

Yes, different sources will do that. It is actually the most accurate but I turned that feature off after seeing the difference. I already have three places to see my speed so saw no value in having a fourth.

Yes I also have three places to view without the NAV also but I kind of like it. We'll see how long I like it for.
One thing I don't like is the present choice of back round color options for the Map. I kind of liked the old one the best.

I've read that mfr's calibrate their speedos to be a couple mph FASTER than actual speed, and this does two things:

- It compensates for tire wear, since as the tires wear and become smaller in diameter, the car will travel less distance for each revolution of the wheels. Therefore, over time the speedo will be less optimistic and it all averages out.

- It accounts for the error many people report in the displayed mpg calculation. When the tires are new, the car is going farther with each revolution of the wheels and racking up more miles than the car is really traveling, skewing the calc. With time and wear, this discrepancy slowly disappears.

At least that's what they say. ;)

Actually mine is the opposite.
At 35mph or below my map is 1mph less than all other indicators. Above 40mph it's 2mph less then the other indicators and doesn't vary anymore after that. Doesn't bother me anymore I now set the cruise to agee with the map.

Question! Did you do the free download update or purchased the SD card update through MapnSoft?

purchase for $0.00 is the software download. The download program crashes at about 4.9% while downloading on two different computers. Mailing is $25 bucks. F that. I was hoping it fixes the radio presets deleting and HUD resetting to default settings. But I'm calling service tomorrow for an exterior chrome problem and I'll be bringing this up.

Is your car less than 3 years old? If so, it is free. Just click the "bill GMA" box.
