  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My cd player in my 5.0 rspec won't play you insert a cd and it says no disc inserted just quit anybody have this problem.

That’s bad news cuz if it doesn’t work you’ll just have to copy all your CD’s to a thumbdrive your vehicle doesn’t have the capability to steam Bluetooth audio so some would say you are up against it I wouldn’t but some would good luck you’ll need it

My 2013 R spec streams bluetooth music just fine from my player. Just have to act like it is a phone IIRC.

Mine plays music thru Bluetooth I use my phone I just have a lot of cd's and they sound better.

Agreed, you can add an adapter, but the ‘12 R-Spec didn’t come standard with that ability.

Look at a company called FiiO, they have bluetooth portable players that can play lossless (uncompressed) music files. Rip the cd's and store them on a micro-sd card, lot cheaper now. 128gb card stores 2,000 songs.
Slight loss through bluetooth but still far better than mp3s. Can also plug a player through the ipod mini-jack in the centre storage console but lose steering wheel controls that way.

Either is a cheaper option than replacing the cd player unit.
