Just got the Genesis back from as an extended stay at the dealership to have the starter replaced. The wife also picked up a Palisade Limited. She chose it over the GV80, and it is really nice.

When I bought my car on 5/5, they had a 2020 G90 on the showroom floor. Beautiful car.

Got a chance to test my new Dragy gps/meter for couple of runs, before getting busted with a warning ticket . These times reflect to what I've done so far to my car and are very similar to what Car & Driver had gotten back in 2015 on a new 3.8 V6 RWD. I still haven't installed the rear section of the exhaust (new mufflers w/2.25" tubing) and the AEM Cold Air Intake is backordered. Will be uploading another video when all is complete.

They did not. They did have a 2020 G80 Sport in Havana Red that I was ogling.

Cop was actually coming from that side road and saw me flying through that stop sign from a distance. I also saw him coming and waited for him in my car at the end of the street (dead end with a wide turnaround) and when he pulled up next to me, he asked what I was doing? I told him that I was cooling off the brakes after that run and he started cracking up! He was very cool!..so I got off with a warning ...this was at Kenosha Wisconsin.

Cool runs. You just convinced me to buy a Dragy due to the video log of the runs that add creditably to the claimed results. I like.

The Dragy is a nice device to have. It's affordable compared to others and pretty accurate from what I was seeing from different people on YouTube.

That location where I tested, was a newer industrial park area with no traffic and scoped it out before testing. With my luck, a cop showed up, but thank God he was cool! I would of been asking you guys to bail me out

So if you don't get out of the car with a gun or baseball bat, and not cussing or yelling aggressively, the cop can be reasonable. Funny how that works.

We have basically the same car, mine is a '19 G80, 3.8? Looks like you shaved off maybe .25 to .50 seconds? I'd love to get my car into the 5.6 to 5.8 range but I think it would require expensive mods.

Funny or not..it's just common sense!!

If these 3 little mods (K&N filter, mid X-muffler, deleted secondary cats) shaved me .2" - .4" , that's around 20 conservative HP ..and I'm happy with that. I believe, that after I finish the rear exhaust section, install the AEM cold air intake and find an rpm sweet spot out of the hole, the car should run consistantly in the upper 5's. If anyone has documented mid 5's with the DH 3.8 V6, please share your mods.

Sounds good, but also seem so wrong. The Genesis is a large luxury sedan that now sounds like my neighbor son's modded Nissan 370. The exhaust drone would drive me nuts on long highway drives

However, it does sound great overall.

I see the mufflers are gone...did you also eliminate the mid resonators and added glasspacks instead? It sounds like the "louvered" tube glasspack sound, instead of the "perforated" one. Are the secondary cats still in place or removed?

Nice video btw!...It would be nice to see more guys (or gals) posting videos of their car.

Muffler delete and resonator with the flow masters. Haven’t touched the cats... yet!

I’m 20 and it’s the second car I’ve owned! I’ll get tired of it eventually
